Terms & Conditions
Dorj’e Artistry is committed to providing a professional, calm and enjoyable experience for every bride and bridal party. The following Terms & Conditions are designed to ensure clear expectations and a smooth wedding morning for both the client and the artist.
By paying the booking deposit, the client confirms they have read, understood and agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
Bookings & Deposits
A non-refundable booking deposit is required to secure all bookings. Dates are not held without a deposit. Once the deposit has been received, the booking will be confirmed and reserved exclusively for the client.
The booking deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable in the event of cancellation.
Final Payment
The remaining balance must be paid 7 days prior to the event date unless otherwise agreed. Failure to complete payment may result in cancellation of the booking.
Minimum Booking Requirement
Wedding bookings are subject to a minimum booking value of $600. This ensures the artist’s time, travel, and schedule are reserved for the event date.
Cancellations
If the client cancels the booking for any reason, the booking deposit will be forfeited. Cancellations made within 7 days of the event date may be subject to additional fees.
Reductions in Services
Once a booking has been confirmed and the deposit paid, reductions in the number of services will not reduce the total booking amount as the time and date have been reserved.
Changes to Booking Details
Any changes to event details including location, start time, or number of services must be communicated as soon as possible. Changes may result in additional travel fees or schedule adjustments.
Dorj’e Artistry reserves the right to amend pricing if significant changes are made after the booking has been confirmed.
Event Day Schedule
A service schedule will be agreed upon prior to the event date. Clients must be ready at their allocated appointment time.
Dorj’e Artistry is not responsible for delays caused by late arrivals, unprepared clients, interruptions during services, or changes made by the bridal party on the day.
If delays occur, services may be reduced or adjusted to maintain the schedule.
Client Preparation
Clients must arrive with clean, moisturised skin free from makeup, heavy skincare products, or SPF unless otherwise advised.
Clients are encouraged to wear loose or button-down clothing to avoid disturbing the makeup when changing outfits.
Workspace Requirements
The client must provide a suitable workspace with:
• adequate natural lighting
• a table or flat surface for the artist’s kit
If the working environment is unsuitable, the artist may request relocation to a more appropriate area.
Additional Services
Additional services requested on the day are not guaranteed and are subject to time availability. Dorj’e Artistry reserves the right to decline additional services if sufficient time is not available.
Artist Break
For bookings requiring more than 4 consecutive hours of services, the artist will be entitled to a 15-minute break. Where services extend over meal times, a light meal or refreshments are appreciated.
Travel
Travel fees apply depending on the location of the booking. Any parking, valet or venue access fees required to reach the location must be covered by the client.
Makeup Longevity
Professional products and techniques are used to create long-lasting results. However, longevity may vary depending on skin type, weather conditions, environment, and client activity.
Dorj’e Artistry cannot guarantee makeup longevity for the entire duration of the event.
Service Approval
Clients are responsible for reviewing and approving their makeup service at the time of application. Any concerns must be raised during the appointment so adjustments can be made.
Once services are completed and approved, Dorj’e Artistry will not be responsible for dissatisfaction raised after the event.
Photography & Lighting
Makeup may appear different under various lighting conditions and in professional photography. Dorj’e Artistry is not responsible for variations caused by lighting, photography editing, or camera settings.
Client Conduct
Clients are asked to remain seated and minimise movement during the makeup application. Excessive phone use, laptops, or distractions may affect the quality and timing of the service.
Dorj’e Artistry is not responsible for compromised results caused by client movement or distractions.
Artist Equipment
All makeup products, brushes, and equipment remain the property of Dorj’e Artistry. Clients and guests are asked not to touch or use the artist’s kit without permission.
Force Majeure
Dorj’e Artistry will not be held liable for circumstances beyond reasonable control including illness, natural disasters, or emergencies. Where possible, reasonable efforts will be made to arrange a replacement artist.
Agreement
Payment of the booking deposit confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
